Gaze of the Distant Moon

In the stillness of the night,
The moon casts its silver gaze,
Upon the earth, it whispers light,
And dances through the haze.

Through shadows long and deep,
It sees the tears that fall,
In silence, secrets it does keep,
Responding to each call.

The world beneath in slumber lies,
Yet hearts are wide awake,
Dreams of the past, in sorrow, rise,
In memories, they ache.

The distant moon, a silent friend,
Holds stories of the lost,
Its gentle glow will never end,
No matter what the cost.

So as you gaze upon its glow,
Know you’re not alone,
In its light, your grief will show,
A path that must be known.
